How to prepare for NTSE Stage II

NTSE Stage II (2016) is scheduled on 8th May
paper pattern will remain the same i.e
LCT - 50 Questions
MAT - 50 Questions
SAT - 100 Questions
(for General Category its necessary to score a minimum of 40 % in each paper. One-Third negative marking for every wrong answer will be applicable in II stage.)
If we look at the NTSE Stage I Results (declared so far), this time the cut off is generally high in most of the states. In Rajasthan cut off for General Category came at 135.
and if we look at the General Category cut off for NTSE Stage II (2015), it was 76.72
so its obvious that in II stage the competition will be much tougher for the final 1000 seats.
The factors which brings the cut off in II stage as low as 76.72 is
MAT paper becomes very tough (many students are not able to score the minimum 40 % in this paper)
As II stage is conducted in the month of May, students are generally not in touch with the Social Science syllabus (will carry 40 questions)

The Best way to prepare for II Stage is to be in regular practice of MAT Paper (students generally leave this paper after the I Stage)
and best preparation of S,St part for SA II and a timely brushing of rest of the syllabus (will cover the total syllabus of class IX and X)
and be in touch with the Maths and Science part. (generally those students who opt for PCM after 10th lacks in Biology subject and those who go for PCB have to suffer in Maths). U have to maintain the equilibrium.
this was the newspaper report of the NTSE Stage II selections. Maximum selections came from Rajasthan. One can say that every second student who cleared I Stage from Rajasthan, finally became a NTSE Scholar. So obviously the competition is going to be very tough.
In my blog under the TAB of MCQs, I have posted MCQ questions of each and every chapter of S.St (class IX and X), just go through those
if you face any problem in S.St, can contact me on 09460079449 or just put a msg on whats app on this number. I will contact you
