INTERNATIONAL EARTH SCIENCE OLYMPIAD - 2012



INTERNATIONAL EARTH SCIENCE OLYMPIAD – Entrance Test 
The Geological Society of India will be conducting an objective-type Entrance Test (ET) to select about 20 students to attend a Training Camp in Earth Sciences during May 2012. Four students will be finally chosen from among the Training Camp participants who will represent India at the 6th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), October 2012, Argentina.

TEST DETAILS:
Date and Time                 : January 22, 2012 at 10 A.M.
Duration                           : ~ 1½ - 2 hours
Language                          : English.
Type of questions             : Multiple choice and fill-in the blank types

Test Centres                     : Given as Appendix I.
Eligibility                          : Students of X and XI standards who were born between 01-07-1994   and 01-07-1997 and who have not participated and won a prize in an earlier IESO.
Application format           : Given overleaf.
                                             Applications (along with Rs.25/- application fee by M.O. or DD) should be sent to the test centre in charge.

Applications                      : January 02, 2012.

Certificates and Awards: The 20 students selected for the Training Camp in Earth Sciences will be awarded Certificates of Merit. The four students selected for competing at the IESO will be awarded Certificates of Merit and Cash Prizes.
